The Wee Man

BritFlick’s proposed first project is The Wee Man based on the true story of the Glasgow ‘Godfather’ Paul Ferris starring John Hannah, Bill Paterson and Ray Winstone.

The Wee Man is a hard hitting but also sensitive portrayal of growing up in the schemes of Glasgow, loosely based on the best selling autobiography, ‘The Ferris Conspiracy’. A film about how relentless physical bullying and mental torture can help change an unassuming wee young boy into becoming Glasgow’s most feared Godfather.

Other projects in development include:

Operation Good Guys – The Movie.

Based on the Montreux award winning BBC TV series, Operation Good Guys – The Beach is Back, will feature the original cast plus cameos from an array of star names – Jude Law, Jonny Lee Miller and Denise van Outen all appeared in the TV series.

Full English Breakfast

Directed by Ashley Walters (ex – So Solid Crew and star of ‘Bullet Boy’). A hard hitting look at urban inner city life in the UK with all it’s tensions, prejudices and conflicts, through the eyes of a mixed group of 5th form schoolkids.

C’est La Vie

A charming comedy following Mark and Lynda as they sell up their city life in the UK to embark on a new life ‘living the dream’ in the south of France. It all goes horribly wrong when they discover all the ex-pats are as mad as hatters. Cast attached – Dave Harewood, Suranne Jones, Don Warrington, Phil Daniels, Denise van Outen

Function at the Junction

Set in the 1970’s, it tells the story of a dance competition being held at a Northern Soul nightclub in a rundown seaside town in a world where soul and funk music collide on the dance floor of the Junction nightclub.

Cast attached includes Rhys Ifans, Matt Di Angelo and Paul Kaye. Attached musicians include Mark Ronson.

The Krays 2 – Chain of Fear

The Krays was a hugely successful and critically acclaimed film. Chain of Fear picks up the story from where The Krays ended and tells of the downfall of the twins’ empire.

The Possessions

The horror genre is more popular than ever and The Possessions is a claustrophobic and disturbing film about a quiet, polite mortuary assistant with not one, but three dark secrets hidden away in his basement. When he does talk, it’s about the single passion in his life – his girl, Candy. His colleagues actually doubt that she exists at all as no one has ever seen her. But she is very real - in more ways than one…

Loose Canons

A comedy set in and around a once fabulous but now sadly decaying church. At the helm is Charles Cherub, a proud man with unyielding faith who has devoted his life to the cloth. He is happy and contented with his lot until the day his dreams are shattered and his world turned upside down – the ‘Powers That Be’ have decided to make a quick killing by selling Cherub’s beloved church to a developer who plans to convert it into a Wetherspoons pub…
